I’m pretty picky when it comes to socks. I don’t like pointy toes, I don’t want seams or ridges inside my shoes, and please, no bunching from a loose heel flap. I also shy away from hand-knit socks because making matching pairs of things - well, it’s just not my strong suit. I do love socks, I just want really specific ones.

Ergo, these socks: speedy to knit in a dk weight, toe-up for perfect fit, flat toe increases, short-row heels - AND they flatter the calves with a handsome snaky cable up the back.
