FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Chest circumference: 30 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50)” 76 (86, 96, 107, 117, 127) cm. The cardigan is meant to be worn with zero to a small amount of positive ease. If your exact chest size is not available, please go up one size.
YARN
Madelinetosh Tosh Sock (or Tosh Merino Light) (100% merino wool, 395yds (361 meters)/100 grams ): “Warm Maize”, 3 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4) skeins.
NEEDLES
One US 4 (3.5mm) 32” circular needle and one US 4 (3.5 mm) 16” circular needle. One set of 5 US 4 (3.5mm) double pointed needles. Change needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
NOTIONS
Five small buttons, yarn needle, scissors, stitch markers, waste yarn for holding stitches.
GAUGE
23 sts and 29 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch.
NOTES
The cardigan is knitted in one piece from bottom up. For the sleeves the stitches are picked up from the armhole and the sleeve caps are shaped with short rows.
PATTERN DESCRIPTION
A simple lightweight cardigan knit from the bottom up with small pockets and subtle trim details. This cardigan has a slight flair and scoop neck which is very flattering on a variety of body types.
