This pattern is for a chunky hooded cowl in a HDC rib stitch.
It is one size fits all, but you can use a smaller or bigger hook to make the cowl smaller or bigger. The instructions makes a cowl that will fit most adult heads (male and female)
I do crochet quite tightly, so checking your gauge is quite important. If you know you crochet loosely I wpuld start with an 8mm or a 9mm hook rather than the 10mm I used.
You will require 4 100g balls of Drops Andes (or a similiar yarn, please note Super Bulky American yarn tends to be a fair bit thicker than this brand, so a bulky yarn may work work better)
I used 2 large buttons, these serve no function, you can omit them or decorate your cowl in another manner.
