I wanted to design a shawl pattern that had energy, and was wild and whimsical and distracting. I named it Haywire because it’s a little crazy, a wonderful mix of color and texture and flow. I want this shawl to be a fun knit project, a project to sample different stitches and play with the combination of techniques and color.

I have created a facebook KAL group for this pattern. It has videos that will be useful to help you work through this pattern (garter tab, increases, double yarn overs, brioche…) It is also a great way for you to get help from me as I follow all of my KAL groups carefully. https://www.facebook.com/LaBourLineDesigns/

Many of the test knitters chose to do an I-cord bind off instead of the written bind off to give a little more weight to the last color of the shawl. It is a great idea if you want just a little more definition to the bind off edge color.
