Hazel the Forest Elf lives at the foot of a group of birch trees in a fairy ring. She is a naughty elf, always in the mood for a prank. She has a lot of knowledge about medicinal herbs and is keen to help her fellow forest inhabitants in case of illness or injury. Here favorite drink is hazelnut coffee.

With this crochet pattern you can make your own elf doll. Her clothes, the dress, mushroomhat and boots, are removable, so they can be put on and taken off! It comes in pdf format and is written in English, using standard American terms.

SKILL LEVEL:

You will need knowledge of:
• crocheting in spiral, rounds and in rows
• start a piece with a magic adjustable ring and a chain
• chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet
• increasing and decreasing

Other special stitches are explained particularly.

FINISHED SIZE:
If done with sport weight cotton yarn and size C (2.5 mm) hook, your doll will be about 11’’ (28 cm) tall, from head to toe.

MATERIALS:
• 2.5 mm (US size C) crochet hook
• 3.0 mm (US size D) crochet hook (optional)
• Sport weight cotton yarn, 50 gr = 125 m (1.75 oz = 137 yds), in 6 different colors, less than a skein per color.
• polyfill to stuff
• a pair of 12 mm (15/32”) green (glitter) safety eyes
• small piece of black embroidery thread or small piece of black yarn for lashes
• 1 set of 20 mm (3/4”) plastic doll joint (or safety eyes in the same size) for the neck
• 1 button of about 12 mm (15/32”) for the dress
• tapestry needle
• sewing needle and sewing thread in the color of hair
• scissors, pins, stitch markers
