A traditional watch cap worked in a 1 x 1 half-twist rib with a deep cuff that allows more modern styling as a slouch hat. The pattern offers the hat in two sizes. This is the same design as Simple Couture 4.02.1.

Size details:
first size: 18.67” (will fit head sizes up to 22”)
second size: 20” (will fit head sizes up to 24”)

mattress stitch for seaming

There seems to be a small discrepancy in needles needed between the two sources. The e-book (The Ravell’d Sleeve) calls for:

• US 1 - 2.25 mm
• US 2 - 2.75 mm
• US 3 - 3.25 mm
• US 4 - 3.5 mm
