Shawl was knit top down, starting with the garter tab. I had three points of paired increases, down the back and on the shoulders. Plus single increases at the edges to extend the wings.
Simple lace pattern repeat is easy to remember - it is broken into multiples of 3 and with the help of stitch markers even the busiest person can keep track of it.

The pattern is very flexible. You can knit the shawl in any size that you desire or have the yarn for. After establishing lace pattern you might choose to do just one part - this will give you a pretty lace scarf or go on to a larger shawl. It is all up to you. Being a knitting extremist I usually knit until my yarn runs out.

Yarn plays a major role in this shawl. I loved showcasing a beautiful lace weight gradient yarn. Robust sock yarn produced beautiful shawl with perfect stitch definition. Fuzzy alpaca yarn on larger needles looks gorgeous and will give much welcome warmth in the coming Winter. All three shawls look very different but were knit from the same pattern.

Pick the needles to match your yarn, remember you want your shawl to drape well, so I used needles approximately two sizes larger than I usually would.

I am very, very happy with this shawl pattern! In itself it was a lovely, meditative knit. It brought healing to my soul and I hope knitting it will bring you tranquility, peace and happiness – things badly needed by all of us in these difficult times.
