PATTERN INFORMATION
Heart Hat is made in worsted weight yarn, and features heart motifs on a moss stitch background. There are 5 sizes, from 2-4 years to adult size L. The two smallest sizes have 2 hearts, the remaining sizes have 3 hearts. The pattern contains both charts and written instructions.
Patterns for matching mittens and a cowl - Heart Mittens and 25 Hearts Cowl - are available.

Finished hat circumference: 45 (47, 49, 52, 55) cm/18 (19, 19.75, 20.75, 22) in.
To fit head up to approx.: 50 (52, 54, 57, 60) cm/20 (21, 21.75, 22.75, 24) in.
Finished length: 18.5 (19, 21.5, 22.5, 24) cm/ 7.25 (7.5, 8.5, 9, 9.5) in.

Moss Stitch: 21 sts and 30 rnds = 10 cm/4 in, with larger needle(s).
2-Heart Panel: 10 cm/4 in wide and 8.5 cm/3.25 in high, with larger needle(s).
3-Heart Panel: 10 cm/4 in wide and 13 cm/5 in high, with larger needle(s).
1x1 Rib Stitch (unstretched): 21 sts = 10 cm/4 in, with smaller needle(s).

Yarn
110 (120, 140, 150, 160) m/121 (132, 154, 165, 176) yds of Malabrigo Rios (100% merino wool, 192 m/210 yds per 100g, samples are shown in Ravelry Red and Frank Ochre) or similar worsted weight yarn.

Needles and Notions

  • 4.5 mm (US #7) and 3.5 mm (US #4) needle(s) in your preferred style for knitting small circumferences,
