Quick and cute mitts to knit for yourself, a friend or a loved one any time you feel like showing and sharing some love.

The cuff is knit in the round and the hand is knit flat with intarsia hearts, leaving an opening for the thumb. The colorwork part has you knitting each heart from its own piece of yarn, while carrying the main color behind it. However, this is not difficult to do and the hearts are small, so this is a good project even if you don’t have any prior experience of colorwork.


Materials:
• Yarn: DK weight yarn in two colors. Approx. 120 y in MC and 10 y in CC.
• Needles: 4 mm / US 6 dpns (4 needles) or size needed to obtain gauge

The light sample was knit using Tri’Coterie DK Merino SW in Skin (MC) and Primrose Yarn Co. Jasper in Stardust (CC).

The dark sample was knit using Hedgehog Fibers Merino DK in Canal House (MC) and Mountain Colors River Twist (CC).

Gauge:
20 sts x 28 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” in stockinette stitch worked flat after blocking.
