PATTERN INFORMATION
Made in worsted weight yarn (Malabrigo Rios), the fingerless Heart Mittens are an interesting and fast knit. The pattern is written for a range of sizes from toddler to adult and the instructions are given in both chart and written format.

To fit: child 1-2 years (child 5-8 years, child 8-adult S, adult M-L).
Finished hand circumference: 14 (16, 18, 20) cm/5.5 (6.5, 7.25, 8) in. Shown in size 3.

Gauge (blocked)
Moss Stitch: 21 sts and 30 rnds = 10 cm/4 in, with larger needle(s).
9-stitch Heart Panel: 5 cm/2 in wide, with larger needle(s).
1x1 Rib (unstretched): 25 sts and 30 rnds = 10 cm/4 in, with smaller needle(s).

Yarn
70 (80, 90, 110) m/80 (90, 100, 120) yds of Malabrigo Rios (100% merino wool, 192 m/210 yds per 100g, shown in Ochre) or similar worsted weight yarn. Use solid or semi-solid colourways.

Needles and Notions

  • 4.5 mm (US #7) and 3.75 mm (US #5) needle(s) in your preferred style for knitting small circumferences

Skills Needed
