Knit fingerless mitts with a heart pattern made from eyelets. The brim of the mitts have a gentle wave and the wrist has a nice ribbing. The mitts fit snugly around the wrist and hand with a comfortable opening for the thumb and a loose edge for the mobility of your fingers. The red color is great for Valentines day, but these gloves can be worn throughout the spring and fall. Depending on where you’re from, they might even be able to be worn on warmer winter days and colder summer days.

This pattern uses double-pointed needles but can also be done with the magic loop technique as well.

Pattern Update: March 26, 2023 - In round 11 of the right mitt, a knit stitch was missing. Where it reads “knit 15” before leaving the remaining stitches unknit, it should read “knit 16”. Feel free to download the updated pattern.

Pattern Update: Feb. 16, 2012 9:40am - After row 25 on each glove, 2 flat rows were missing in stockinette stitch: purl a row and knit a row replacing the markers and preparing to knit in the round. Continue with row 26 of the old pattern, or download the new pattern.
