Time to have a bit of crochet fun! This pattern was fully revised in January of 2014.

The doily was designed around the idea of working the big red heart round in rows. It’s a different construction technique and works up fast. The white lace sections have a heart motif worked into them also. Make it for a romantic dinner or a casual lunch, and have a good time!

The first 5 rounds of the doily make a cute coaster, and I have included directions for two sizes of heart decorations. The hearts have many creative uses such as ornaments, bookmarks, gift tags, party favors, and any number of things.

The coaster is 4” (10cm) square and the doily is 6” (15cm) square. The hearts are 1.5” (4cm) heart and a 2” (5cm).

Skill level: Intermediate
I have included photo illustrations for all of the tricky areas, so most crocheters can make these.
