This beautiful heart motif cowl will warm your head and your heart.

Notions:
• Size US 8 24” Circular needles
• Stitch Marker
• Tapestry Needle

Yarn: 120-150 yards sport weight yarn

Gauge: 4 stitches = 1 inch Finished will be about 26” around

Special Notes:

This pattern can be adjusted to work with any weight yarn. Using smaller needles and a lace or fingering weight yarn, simply add pattern sections until you obtain the desired width around. Smaller needles and yarn will give you smaller hearts. Hint: Each pattern segment is 13 stitches, so pattern should be adjusted in increments of 13 stitches. That means cast on 13 additional stitches for each segment added.

Pattern is knitted in the round.

Special Stitches:

S2KPO: Slip 2 stitches together knitwise, knit 1, pass the 2 slipped stitches over the knit stitch. This makes a central double decrease.

SSK: Slip the first stitch as if to knit, slip the second stitch as if to knit, then slide the left-hand needle into the front part of both stitches and knit them together.

K2tog: Like a normal knit, except that needle is inserted through two stitches instead of one.

YO: Yarn over the needle to create an added stitch.
