The HeartSpun cardigan is knitted in lightweight 4ply yarn, and is ideal for all occasions; casual, over a t-shirt with jeans or smart, to dress up a beautiful summer dress.

The luxuriously soft HeartSpun yarn has fantastic stitch definition, ideal for the simple picot and moss stitch edge in this pattern.

The cardigan is worked from the bottom up, knitting the tie first, casting off stitches to knit the front and back together in rows to the armholes. Stitches are divided for the left and right fronts and back. The sleeves are knitted flat.

The moss stitch picot edging of the cardigan is knitted as you go rather than separately and sewn on.

You will need 200g - 250g of HeartSpun 4ply British eco yarn.

You will also need to knit the HeartSpun Cardigan:

3 mm circular knitting needles with a 100 cm cable.
Large wool needle for weaving in the ends.
Stitch holder or waste yarn to hold the stitches (preferably a smooth DK yarn in a contrasting colour).
2 stitch markers.
