Heartwood Cardigan is knit from the top-down starting with the back panel. The back panel is knit to the underarm, then the front panels are picked up along the cast on edge and also knit to the underarms. All three panels are then joined together and the body is knit in rows with no waist shaping to the bottom hem. Sleeve stitches are then picked up around the armholes and knit circularly with a gentle taper to the cuff. Cardigan features extra long length in the body to reach past the hips and long cuffs that can be rolled once, or worn flat to reach close to the fingertips.

Yarn: 6 (7, 7, 8, 8) 9, 9, 10, 10 skeins of Yak Silk DK Treasures by Treasure Goddess Yarn (60% superwash merino wool, 20% yak, 20% silk; 231 yards 211 m / 100g) or approximately 1200 (1400, 1500, 1650, 1700) 1900, 2075, 2275, 2300 yards 1100 (1280, 1400, 1510, 1550) 1740, 1900, 2080, 2100 meters of DK weight yarn.
