An easy to knit shawl collar cardigan with a mid-century vibe, the Hedgerow Cardigan will keep you warm on all your cool weather adventures! It’s knit in Green Mountain Spinnery’s new cotton blend yarn Cozy Cotton, which will be available April 2024, so make sure to get your cardigan pattern now!
The body is worked in one piece from the bottom up, then divided at the armholes and the fronts and back worked separately to the shoulders. Wrap-and-turn short-rows are used to shape the shoulders, which are joined using Three-Needle Bind-Off. The mosaic pattern begins just before dividing the body and beginning the neck shaping.
The sleeves are worked in the round from the cuff up, beginning with k2, p2 rib, then continuing in stockinette to the end.
After joining the shoulders, the collar and button band stitches are picked up along the entire front and neck edge. The collar is shaped using wrap-and-turn short-rows before completing the front band with One-Row Buttonholes.
