Constructed from the top down, Helix requires only one skein (about 65g) of worsted-weight yarn. Perfect for that single skein of luxury yarn you’ve been hoarding!

Pattern includes charts and written out instructions. All cables and twists are worked over only two stitches, making this hat a perfect candidate for cabling without a cable needle.

The pattern is written for a size to fit most adult heads. If you’d like to knit it for a larger head, instructions are included in the pattern to make the hat at a slightly bigger gauge, as below:

Medium (20 in/51 cm circumference): gauge of 18 sts/28 rows to 4 in/10 cm in stockinette st.

Large (22 in/56 cm circumference): gauge of 17 sts/26 rows to 4 in/10 cm in stockinette st.
