Helix Mitts for the Loom are a loom knit adaptation of the fantastic design by Sybil R. She has graciously given permission to convert this pattern to the loom.

These fingerless mitts are knit in one piece that spirals around the wrist and hand in an eye-catching, unique design. They are knit using only ten pegs and are joined as you knit so there is no seaming.

This pattern is designed to be versatile and made to fit the wearer.
I have included two options in the pattern: Helix Mitts are longer, cover most of the forearm and are knit in five rounds; Short Helix Mitts reach about 4-5 inches past the wrist and are knit in four rounds.

These were designed on the Kiss Small Gauge 2-way Adjustable loom. Any 3/8” gauge loom would be suitable for this pattern.

Any DK, aran, or worsted weight yarn would work with this pattern, but self-striping yarn or those with long color changes are best to highlight the helix shape.
