The idea for this years christmas sock came about when I got my hands on a beautiful skein of sockyarn from Flora Yarns. The color immediately made me think of Helleborus niger, commonly known as Hellebore in english. The colors resembled my favourite kind wich has a rich, deep purple color.
So how come a flower inspired me to make a christmas sock? You see, the Hellebore flowers in winter and is commonly known as “christmas rose” in swedish, due to the time of year that it is in bloom.
So this is the christmas sock Helleborus.
I wish you happy knitting!
