This pattern was designed for my daughter. I have decided to donate all the proceeds from the sales of this pattern to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (as part of my commitment to Team in Training). As a member of TNT, I’m training for an endurance event (1/2 marathon) while raising funds to benefit LLS in support of their mission to find a cure for blood cancers.

My motivation in joining TNT was originally due to this year being the 10th anniversary of my Dad’s passing from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. However, I was really touched to meet the father of one of our Honored Teammates - Joshua, a 4-year old boy who was diagnosed with leukemia at 2 years old. He just finished the 2nd year of his 3-year treatment program. It’s an amazing story and it kills me that any child has to go through something like this.
