From Jane Fournier’s Pattern Description

This sturdy mesh bag will accommodate heavy and odd-shaped loads. I’ve used the open cast-on method to avoid hard edges that could bind or break. The natural hemp yarn used for this bag is less flexible and has a harsher handle than most knitting yarns. While this contributes to the bag’s utility and longevity, you may find it helpful to knit with loose tension and in short sessions over a week or two to save wear and tear on your hands.
