Once you bought the clues, you’ll receive a notification every time a new clue is uploaded (pattern will be divided into 5 clues) and at Kal’s end there will be a full final pattern. Pattern will be divided into 5 clues:
April 1, 2012 (for option 1) or April 6, 2012 (for option 2) – Clue 1 – Pattern description, materials info and abbreviations. Cast-on, set-up and first 10 rows of Lace section.
April 15, 2012 – Clue 2 – Lace section (rows 11 to 26)
April 22, 2012 – Clue 3 – Lace section (rows 27 to 44)
April 29, 2012 – Clue 4 – Short row section
May 6, 2012 – Clue 5 – Lace upper section (12 rows), bind-off and finishing.
May 13, 2012 – Full final pattern will be sent as a ravelry gift for those who finish the shawl and post it in the FO thread (option 2 participants). Option 1 participants will receive a notification that full pattern has been uploaded.

Hera is a bicolor shawl knitted bottom-up with a lace edging resembling ivy leaves. Shawl’s upper body is worked with a variegated yarn in stockinette stitch and using short rows for its crescent shape. A pretty lace stitch is added creating extra interest to this lovely shawl.
MATERIALS: MC (solid yarn) 270.2 – 310.7 m (295.5 – 339.8 yds); CC (variegated yarn) 155 – 178.2 m (169.5 – 194.9 yds) of DK yarn; size 4 mm (US 7) and 5 mm (US 8) circular needles; tapestry needle; markers
Difficulty: Intermediate - knitted cast on, knit, purl, yarn over, single and double decreases, short-rows, bind-off
SIZE: approx 36 cm wide by 137 cm long (14.1 x 53.9”)
Pattern Style: Full – written and charted for lace, written for short rows section.
