Herbfield requires just one 100 gram skein of that gorgeous fingering weight yarn that you fell in love with at the fibre festival and just had to have. It also looks stunning in a solid yarn, especially with a picot cast off.

This simple lace pattern is very adaptable and in the pattern I have suggested ways to make the shawl larger in case you fell hard and bought two gorgeous skeins instead of one!

I have included alternative instructions for my popular stretchy garter tab, but there is a short tab option too should you wish to go the super-easy route.

This pattern is ideal as a quick gift knit, and for using those special one off hand-dyed skeins you never knew what to do with. The lace section of the pattern includes charts AND written directions - making this an ideal pattern for beginning lace knitters and those new to working from charts as you can always fall back on the written instructions for clarification.
