February 8 2015 Thanks to sewandsewstoo, a major mistake was located that started around row 63 and repeated into the entire body of the piece. An updated version is loaded today to correct this issue. At this time I also modified the photos in the pattern to make a smaller and easier document for download. Please, let me know if anyone else finds an error for correction.

Heres a direct ling to the pattern that won’t route you through my blog LINK.

This pattern was designed after I saw a woman wearing a similar garment on the street. When asked she stated she purchased it from a department store. I went home and attempted to find a pattern but didn’t find anything that worked quite in the way I wanted it to, so I pulled out some yarn and needles and started playing, Needles to say, I had to go get different needles a few times, and I may have cursed a bit too, but I got it going while watching some Downton Abbey. And here we are…

I am not a designer and this item hasn’t been fully tested. This is why it is free. I plan on keeping my day job. However, feel free to let me know if you have any issues with it.

Gauge is not important, feel of fabric is. Should you want it shorter, leave out some repeats of the middle section. If you want it longer, add some in.

Besides yarn and needles, I found it useful to have a safety pin o other row marker to count from.

There you have it. Be creative and play with your yarns, colors and needles. I will love to see what you do with it!
