This project takes the entire skein and I am not kidding!
You absolutely have to make gauge, or risk needing a second skein.

I wanted to add: If you have dreadlocks, or other ways that will make your hair “thicker”, you may want to cast on more stitches for this hat, or use a stretchier yarn. This hat is knitted in bamboo and will not stretch overly much. Just keep that in mind. The pattern repeat is over 24 stitches, this should help. ;)
