Herman Cap is named for my Grampa Herman Pitzer. He was the ‘fun’ eccentric Grampa of my younger days. He passed when I was just a toddler. This driver or newsboy cap is knit using a variety of stitches, the top is entirely half linen stitch. Using a worsted weight wool on a US size 1 created a tight knit structure for shaping. There are some short rows, but if you get stuck there are some great tutorials online! This cap is designed in two sizes small and large).

Size: Small 22-23”(Large-23-24”)

Brim insert: Above photo shows purchase brim used in pattern- https://www.judithm.com/product/ball-cap-visor-peak/.

Tutorial to make your own from repurposed materials is also included!
