This pretty hat and mitts set is perfect for spring and summer, when you just need something light for the evenings. Both the hat and the mitts are knitted in the round, with a little delicate cable panel that can be worked either from the chart or the written instructions.

Errata: (for version printed in magazine only)

  • The cuff should be worked for 5 cm. There is a line before the measurement that tells you to work for 16 (12, 8) more rnds -- please disregard this instruction.
  • Under Hand/thumb gusset, the set-up round for the Left Mitt should read as follows: K27 (31, 35), pm, k2, pm, k0 (2, 4), work Rnd 1 of Inset Pattern from chart or written instructions, k0 (2, 4).
  • After thumb stitches are placed on waste yarn, the following lines should read as follows: Work 16 (12, 8) more rnds as follows: Left Mitt: K29 (35, 41), work appropriate rnd of Inset Pattern, k to end.
