Herring is a dishcloth featuring a lifted herringbone stitch diagonally across the cloth. The lifted stitches stack into neat textured columns. The other half of the cloth is stockinette and it has a slipped stitch edge. The slipped nature of the herringbone is great on both multi-colored and solid yarns and the stiffness of the stitch makes it great for scrubbing.
