Hesh is a variation of a traditional Scandinavian pixie-shaped hat modified for grown ups. The cap is knitted on the bias with perfectly fitted ear flaps, icord ties and tassels, making for a devilish little accessory. This quick hat is a gift-knitter’s dream just in time for the holidays!

Errata
There was a small error in the first pattern release. I released an update that corrects it.

The correction was after the first 3 rounds. Here is what it should say:

Next round: K1, m1l, k17, s2kp, k17, m1r, ( k1, m1l, k17, s2kp, k17, m1r) twice, k1.
Next round: K
Repeat last 2 rounds 8(10, 12) times.

The sizing is done in various lengths rather than number of stitched cast on.

You might be tempted to do more of these two rounds because it seems awfully early to start the decreasing, but you’ll end up with a hat that is too big if you just keep going. The decreases happen slowly.
