This potholder uses BOTH knit and crochet. The body of the potholder is knitted while the border and hanger are crocheted.

The size I got was 6 inches across. I used Dishie and that is a bit thin compared to other readily available cotton yarn. You can really use any size needles & hook with any weight cotton to make this potholder. I wrote it using Dishie, size 8 knitting needles, and size H crochet hook. Adding rows to make this bigger is easy. if you would like help in doing so contact me here on ravlery, on my group on ravelry (linked below), or on my site.

I used a bone ring to make the hanger. If you don’t have a bone ring or don’t want to use one use whatever you want to make the hanger as it is a extra option.

Pattern written using American terms. If you have translated the pattern to another language or to UK terms please let me know. I’d love to add a PDF for others to use. You will get credit for helping out. :)

If you have any problems making this design please check out my group here on Ravelry - Knittery In the Crochet. If there is not a thread already started about your issue please start one. I check the board daily although I’m not active very much.
