This sweet little henley carries it’s name “Hidden Star” as there is a textured star almost hidden between the unusual cable-pattern. And , of course, the teddy in the pictures is my “Hidden Star” - a well worn treasure since childhood. I made the sweater thinking about the childs comfort, and what kind of sweater a small child would like to wear. Due to the construction there are no seams that can irritate the child, and the opening of the buttoned front gives plenty of room to make dressing and undressing easier. The sizing is generous enough to hide other clothing underneath, as well as to give room for playing and moving about.

The henley is knitted in the round and bottom-up to armpits, where work is divided for back and fronts. The button-band and buttonhole-band are integrated in the fronts. Shoulders are knitted together from the WS. Stiches are picked up around the armholes and sleeves are worked top-down. The intricate-looking cable-pattern is a pure joy to make - and no special skills are needed, except for normal cable-work. The result looks so much more elaborate than the work behind!
