This is a re-written updated Knit Picks/Erssie Knits version of this pattern. Previously it was published as The Human League in Tangled Magazine Summer 2011

These socks have simple leaf print motifs and acorn outlines worked against the variegated background. The socks are knitted from the top down with a two-color ribbed cuff. The heel is a traditional heel flap and gusset but knitted in a tailored pin-stripe with a matching pin-stripe mitten top toe.

Actual sock circumference:
approx 8 (9½, 11¼) inches (20.5 (24, 28.5) cm).
Stretches to fit up to leg circumference approx:
9 (10½, 12) inches (23 (26.5, 30.5) cm).

NB: These socks will only stretch as far as the stranding allows, so if you are a very tight colorwork knitter you may want to go up a needle
size or two, or take special care to strand loosely.
Foot length is adjustable but sock shown here is
9 ½ inches (24 cm) long for US 7 shoe size (Euro
39 shoe size)
