Naughty Norwegian Socks

Knitting
August 2013
Fingering / 4 ply (14 wpi) ?
32 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches in stranded colorwork stockinette stitch in the round
US 1 - 2.25 mm
800 - 1600 yards (732 - 1463 m)
Ankle circumference: 9 (10, 11, 12)" / 23 (25.5, 28, 30.5)cm

Don’t think of these as knee-highs; rather, think of them as biker socks, with flames and devils peeping out of the top of his favorite motorcycle boots. Wear these and never worry about “trouser gap” again. Added to the aesthetics of the design there are practical elements too. Knitted from the top down they are made in traditional Nordic style, tailored to the contours of a male leg, and have a deep heel and comfortable gusset, with a slightly narrower foot.
