This pattern is worked following charts for the teddy bear motifs whilst following written instructions.

You will need to be experienced in working intarsia charts plus there is a brick pattern to work whilst following the intarsia teddy bear charts.

The first row of the intarsia chart is always a knit row, starting from the right hand side of the chart, the second is a purl row, starting from the left hand side of the chart, etc. I usually print off the chart and shade in each line in pencil once that row has been completed to keep track.

The chart is followed whilst working a K4, P4 brick pattern outside of the intarsia areas. You will also have to keep track of how many rows you have knitted so that you know when to shape for the neck, etc.

The face details for the teddies and the outlines for the numbers, teddies and tree are embroidered onto the knitting at the end.
