This cowl has garter ridges (hills) and lengths of stockinette stitch (valleys). Its a simple cowl that can highlight colorful yarns and the garter rows help to break up any pooling. Also, this scarf is solid, and made with worsted weight yarn, so its sure to keep you warm! This cowl uses about 175 yards of worsted weight yarn (I used Cascade hand-dyed). It ends up being about 8” thick, and 32” around. Since this cowl does not require a certain number of stitches to keep a decorative pattern, it can be adapted to nearly any yarn or size!
