Simple pattern suitable for absolute beginer once you get the idea of turning the work round part way through a row. Can be adapted to finer yarns by casting on more stitches initially and following the same pattern with aditional rows. Also have made one using wendy pampas (200g, 57m/100g). Used 12mm needles, cast on 10sts and did two extra pattern repeats. Have not yet got round to making it in anything finer, I will leave that up to you!
Called Himalaya because my eldest thought it looked like a mountain range.
