This is a unisex pattern with a boy’s size and a girl’s size.

Yarn: pattern calls for “3-ply nylon and wool yarn”;
0.5 oz. each of two main colors, 0.25 oz. of one accent color
for two matching cardigans (one boy, one girl)

Additional materials: 4 small buttons for each cardigan

This pattern has top-down raglan construction. The only seams are the sleeve seams. The collar is shaped with short rows.
