hobukastan
Hobukastan means horse-chestnut in Estonian, where it is considered good luck to carry one of the nuts in your pocket. The cuff pattern reminds me of the spiky capsules surrounding the nut, and the leg reminds me of the tree’s large spikes of flowers.
Pattern calls for double knitting and basic crochet skills.
Uses equal amounts of MC and CC; Small requires 400 yds each color, Medium 525 yds, and Large 750 yds.
