An Easy, Quick Knit!

Cold weather and ponytails (or buns) often don’t mix well. Whether it’s a quick trip in and out of the gym, or a day-long hike in the mountains, Hole In My Hat will keep your ears and head warm and your updo neat and free of tangles, even on the windiest day.

Knit on circular needles in the luscious colors of Noro Kureyon, Hole In My Hat is a quick project, needing virtually no finishing. The pattern is written for two sizes (17-19” and 19-21”) with a gauge of 4 1/2 stitches to the inch. The smaller size can be made from one ball of Kuryeon; the larger size will go into a second ball. Three balls will easily make two hats, with some left over.

The rolled brim provides for an adjustable fit and can be rolled more or less as desired.

Hole In My Hat is a suitable pattern for beginners comfortable working with circular and double pointed needles and decreasing as instructed (K2 tog) to shape the crown.
