Before having children I loved lighting candles and displaying them around the house. There is just something calming about the gently flickering lights…

Now I just make-do with the artificial, battery operated variety…

not quite the same but much safer…

Safer for my children but not for the lovely glass, porcelain and very breakable candle holders that house those safe battery operated candles!

Here is my Christmas Solution - rather than just place the little candles all around without any sort of decoration I created this very quick and very easy crochet embellishment for them.

This pattern can also be used as an embellishment, a Christmas Ornament or even a brooch - you are only limited by your imagination.

The bow makes a fabulous embellishment for a hair clip too :)
