Holly Romper features an allover charted lace pattern with a decorative welt along the upper body. The I-cord edges around the leg openings draw the fabric in and give the lower part of the romper a puffed or almost balloon-type shape. The romper is worked with 1 strand of either Merino or Pure Silk.
Holly Romper is worked from the bottom up, both flat and in the round. You start working the two crotch pieces back and forth, before work is joined on one needle and continued in the round up to the underarms. Sleeves are worked in the round starting with a folded bell edge and then joined with body at the underarms. Yoke is then shaped with raglan decreases, initially in the round and later back and forth. I-cord edges finish the neckline and leg openings. The opening at the back of the left shoulder is closed with one button and a crochet loop. Crotch is closed with 4 buttons.

The lace stitch pattern is charted only.
