Honey Bun Brioche Blanket
This snuggly, squishy blanket is perfect for cuddling a baby or draping over a carseat, but it would be equally comforting were it enlarged for use as a throw or bedspread. I have included a brief explanation on how to do that. Be aware that brioche does need to be swatched properly for this method of size enlargement to work. Brioche is incredibly stretchy!
You will need to know the two basic brioche knit stitches (bark & burp) as they not described in any real detail in this pattern. There are many sources available for free online.
FYI: I have seen different methods of dealing with the YO in the honeycomb brioche stitch. The one I suggest in this pattern is the most intuitive for me.
I used three 50 gram/82 yard skeins of Cascade Luna Moss and Sprout for a total of 6 skeins. I also used about a quarter of a skein of Cascade Luna Primrose for the hearts.
You will need to know how to crochet to add the slip-stitch edging and to make the crochet heart embellishments.
I hope you will enjoy this project!
