This gorgeous cowl features a stunning honeycomb brioche pattern to give it a soft and squishy double layer to keep you extra warm. This pattern is designed to match with my Honeycomb Brioche Hat and Handwarmers, with all written especially for knitters new to brioche knitting with the instructions clear and simple to follow.

Sizing
This cowl has two sizes available. The first is a close-fitting cowl designed to sit up over your chin. The second is longer and is designed to hang down on your chest.

Smaller size: approx. 30cm/12” wide by 24cm/9.5” high
Larger size: approx. 42cm/16.5” wide by 24cm/9.5” high

Yarn requirements
This cowl was designed especially for Skeinz Orb Merino due to its gorgeous texture and stitch definition. It is an 8ply/DK weight yarn and is 113m per 50gm. Alternatively you can use any 8ply/ DK weight yarn you can get gauge with.

Smaller size: 340m/ 150gm
Larger size: 450m/ 200gm

Gauge
Honeycomb brioche: 18sts per 10cm/4” unstretched. As this stitch is quite stretchy the gauge can be tricky to measure. You will need to count over two rows to get the right number.

Needles and notions
• 3.5mm, 60cm circular needle (or needle size to achieve gauge)
• 1 x stitch marker
• Measuring tape
• Darning needle
• Scissors
