The gauge given above is stocking stitch, before steaming - after steaming, in pattern, it should be 34sts and 48 rows to 4”. The pattern takes account of this shrinkage.

The number of balls of yarn needed is 14, 14, 15, 15, 16 for the sizes as given above.
