This shawl is designed with two 500 yard cakes of gradient yarn. For the mosaic design to work correctly the two cakes should be the same colorway.

This shawl begins at the neck with a provisional cast on of 7 stitches. The neck border continues down the shawl to create a beautiful seed stitch edging on each side of the shawl.

There is a small lace area before the mosaic slipped stitch design. After the mosaic slipped stitch design the shawl ends with lace.

Measurements:
Center back / 19 inches
Wingspan / 56 inches

Yarn:
• Fingering Weight Yarn: 950 - 1000 yards

Needles Used:
• US 6 (4 mm) circular 32”
• US 6 (4 mm) double point set (optional)
• Crochet Hook G (4mm) – for provisional cast on

Supplies:
• Stitch markers
• Darning needle
• Small amount of contrasting waste yarn – for provisional cast on

Gauge:
• 2 inches = Approximately 12 stitches and 15 rows
Producing the desired fabric is more important than obtaining
an exact gauge. Adjust yardage accordingly.

• Basic lace – stitches used are knit, purl, kfb, yo, k2tog, ssk, s2kpo, M1L, M1R
