This pattern utilizes the classic Shetland Horseshoe Lace pattern to make an airy-light hat and matching scarf. With only 4 pattern rows per repeat, the lace pattern is easy to learn, and instructions are given in longhand and chart formats.

The hat is knit in the round and requires only 150 yards of lace weight yarn. For the hat and scarf set, you will need approximately 700 yards of yarn, depending on the length of your scarf.
