This pattern is available from interweave.com for $11.89.

This pattern is exclusive to the Vertically Stranded Colorwork video workshop, which is available as a DVD and digital download. It is 67 minutes in length.

Lorilee Beltman has developed a brand new way to strand contrasting colors up your work, using Rovaniemi colorwork from Finland as her inspiration. This technique is easy to learn, easy to knit, and opens up endless possibilities for creativity in your own pattern designs and modifications. Create colorwork socks with no stretch or tension problems or add a pop of color and texture to a simple scarf.

With this video tutorial, learn the technique and create a beautiful cowl with an undulating stitch pattern.

Yarn Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock Heavyweight (100% superwash merino; 350 yd 320 m/7 oz 198 g): tempest (blue, MC); the green that sings (dark green, A); tumbleweed (light green, B); 1 skein each. (You will have quite a bit left over from colors A and B.)

Needles Size 6 (4 mm): 16” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle.

NOTES
• This cowl is worked in the round from the bottom up.
• When working CVS stitches (see Stitch Guide), hold the main color (MC) to the left and bring the CVS in from the right. Refer to the video for more information.
