I wanted a Game of Thrones square for a Geek-a-long blanket I was making for a friend. Since Brienne of Tarth is undeniably awesome, I decided to celebrate her in my square.
My blanket is done with intarsia and some stranding rather than double-knitting since the last double-knit worsted weight blanket I made was too heavy. However, I think this pattern could be done in double-knit if you don’t mind moving stitches around at the middle of every row.
The blanket was a stash buster so I don’t know exactly which yarns I was using. They were definitely acrylic, probably Red Heart Supersaver or something like that. I used size 9 needles and it measures about 12.5 inches square.
