Houston and Huntsville Cloths

A dishcloth or face cloth can be interesting! This pattern has two geometric stitch patterns using only knit and purl stitches. This makes them good candidates for the novice knitter. The instructions are written, and charts are included. Use 100% cotton worsted weight yarn for maximum absorbency. These instructions produce a dense fabric that wears well.

Sam Houston is an important figure, and served in many important capacities, in the Texas Revolution, the Republic of Texas, and the establishment of the State of Texas. The city of Houston is named in his honor. Huntsville became the home of Sam Houston and is located directly north of Houston. The City of Houston proper is the largest city in Texas, but its metropolitan area is second largest. Houston is located on the Gulf of Mexico and is an important center of education, the arts, commerce, industry, energy, finance, space center, and the World Series Champion Houston Astros.
