MATERIAL
Einrúm E+2 80 % Icelandic wool and 20% Mulberry Thai silk 50g, about 208 m

About the yarn: I used the beautiful Einrum-E+2 a fingering weight Icelandic wool yarn that’s plied with a strand of silk. It’s light, lofty, and the silk gives it a subtle sheen, resulting in a unique, beautiful yarn that’s a joy to knit with.

Notes
The mittens are knitted in the round. It begins with a cuff, followed by the chart pattern. In round 19, you mark for a thumb by knitting sts to scrap yarn that are removed later (for the thumb). When the main part of the mitten is finished, you knit the thumb. The mittens are rather tightly knit, to make them warm.
